In my work, I attempt to create work that is in a liminal state – in the middle of a ritual – and is in the process of becoming something new through the participation in a journey. I am especially interested in the tension created in the search for meaning through physical motion. For the motion of moving through a space is a means of creating a narrative, of reading the location and ones identity in that space.
“Walking shares with making and working that crucial element of engagement of the body and the mind with the world, of knowing the world through the body and the body through the world.”
